Founded by Reece McCook in 2019,

Ride Out Racism has emerged as the leading organisation within the equestrian industry focused on the promotion of diversity and equality, with the very clear goal of tackling discrimination, and increasing participation and representation.

We aim to highlight the access barriers so often present within the sport, particularly to those belonging to ethnic minorities.

Through a combination of social campaigning across our social media platforms, and targeted projects, we aim to build better networks between existing riding groups and the industry’s governing bodies, as well as highlighting and providing opportunities to participate for those from communities that have traditionally struggled with access to the sport.

Our Work

Annual Event
At our annual ROR event, professional riders and organisations come together with local riding groups to take a stand against discrimination, whilst celebrating equality and diversity within the sport and promoting awareness of our work and mission.
Mentorship & Advice
We provide informal guidance, advise and mentorships to a wide variety of organisations and individuals, particularly around how to improve representation and diversity, and stamp out discrimination.
Fundraising and Donations
Fundraising and donations are the life blood of ROR, and our work would be impossible without it. Alongside fundraising at our live events, we welcome contributions to help fund this important work, and also have a wide variety of corporate partnership opportunities.
Shout About It
We believe that together we are stronger. ROR is fast becoming the go-to resource for information on equity and diversity campaigning and projects within the equestrian community, and we want to help share your story too. Get in touch and let us know the work you’re doing to promote equity and diversity within the community and we will share it on our blog, and across our social media channels.
